Information we collect from you via our website, telephone enquiry, or personal enquiry

If you contact us via our website, we collect your name, email address, and the reason you are contacting FMI.

This information is used to allocate you to the very best person to answer your needs.

Your information is never sent to external parties.

Electronic records of enquiries submitted via the ‘contact us’ pages are held for one month, should you wish to follow up on your initial correspondence during this time.

Like many other websites, we do use cookies on our website in order to monitor and improve our services, and to conduct market research. Cookies don’t contain any confidential information. You can choose to disable cookies when using our website by changing the settings within your browser’s controls. Unless you change your browser settings, our website will issue cookies.

We also use Google Analytics features for our own market research purposes.

Information we may collect from you when you connect with Fire Ministries International

We collect: Contact details  – your name and email address for Fire Brands and/or FMI Newsletter.

Other details such as address, date of birth, emergency contact details, personal details will only be collected when becoming a team member of FMI and can be deleted upon request.

When setting up a standing order to support FMI, bank details will be destroyed immediately after this has been processed.

Gift Aid information will be kept according to Inland Revenue regulations.

How we use your data

We use your data:

To communicate and respond to by post or email regarding pastoral care, questions, support, needs or complaints

To inform about activities

When and why we may share your data

In certain instances it may be necessary for us to share the data you have provided. In general, we will only share your personal data with a third party:

  • If we are legally obliged to do so
  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of FMI

Where this is necessary we will comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act.

Please be assured however that we do not share your data for marketing purposes.

How we protect your data

Please be aware however that while we do our best to secure your data we cannot completely guarantee the security of data transmitted via the internet.

All FMI computers are password protected and all email is secure.

All registration forms are kept under lock and key

When we destroy your data

We will only keep your personal information for as long as you are a part of FMI. You need to inform us when that is the case and you no longer wish to be included in communications.

We destroy all personal information when you unsubscribe to our emailing list.

Your rights regarding your data

Access and transfer

You have the right to access the data we hold on you at any time, or to request that we send your data to an individual or group of your choosing.

To request this, please email us at the address below. We will need proof of your identity and address, and details on the information you require.

We will fulfil your request within one month, and will require a further two months for completion if your request is complex or numerous.

Correction of records

You have the right to correct any personal information which we hold. To do so, please write to us at the address below, or email us with the subject line ‘request for correction of personal data’.

Complaints

You have the right to complain about the way we handle your data to a supervisory authority such as the Information Commissioner’s Office. Further information can be found via their website https://ico.org.uk/concerns/
