Overlooked or Forgotten?
I have not overlooked you, nor forgotten you.
See you are engraved on the palm of my hand. I am even now lingering over you with my watchful eye to ensure that my promises are fulfilled in your life.
Lift your head and see My Glory and know that I hold you fast. I know the places where you struggle and desire to walk in freedom, I do not condemn you, nor do I withhold my love from you. I lift you up and give you the grace to face every failure so that it will become a stepping stone to victory.
I have not given you a spirit of fear but one of power, love and self control. Arise, knowing my unfailing love for you!
(NIV) Isaiah 49: 14-16
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.
(NIV) Psalm 139:1-6
You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
(NIV) 2 Timothy 1: 6-10
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
