1/2/19 Misty Valley
Does it seem at times my friends that life around you has become misty, making your vision dull?
Your enemy wants to keep you confused and even to try and direct you down the wrong road, hoping that you will step off the path of righteousness and into a quagmire of sin.
The valley of your life has an entrance and an exit. You have to travel through it but you also have authority over it. The places where you do not feel in control, bring them into Spiritual alignment, as you take captive every thought.
Walk with confidence in me, for I AM the lifter of your head and you will be a witness to your own transformation. You will begin to take deliberate strides, head up and shoulders back. You will sense the wind against your face and the dew of morning upon your hair. Open your lungs and fill them afresh, breathe deeply the aroma of the wild flowers of your valley. Watch as the mist dissipates before you, leaving blue skies and a clear path.
(NIV) Psalm 23: 1-6
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
(NIV) Psalm 24: 7-8
Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
(NIV) Luke 12: 22-31
Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
4/2/19 Who You Are! (1)
You are Chosen
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. I have called you My friends, no longer are you servants. Remember, long before I laid the earth’s foundations, I had you in mind, I’d settled on you as the focus of My love, so that I could make you whole and Holy in My love. Long ago I decided to adopt you as My family through Jesus. I took such delight in planning you. This is something to celebrate, Jesus brought you into relationship with Me. You are set apart as Mine.
I chose you in your weak and vulnerable state, think, not many of you were wise by human standards, not many of you were influential, nor of noble birth. I chose the foolish things to shame the wise. I chose the weak to shame the strong. I chose the lowly things and the despised, the things that were not to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before Me.
Before you were formed in your mother’s womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart. Every day that was ordained for you was written in My book, before one of them came to be. I am intimately acquainted with what you think and say. You cannot hide from Me, for I AM love, and I will pursue you to the ends of the earth.
(NIV) Jeremiah 1: 5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.
(MSG) Ephesians 1: 4-5
Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. You were set apart to be His.
(NIV) Ps 139: 16
His eyes saw your unformed body; all the days ordained for you were written in His book before one of them came to be.
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 1: 26-29
Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.
(NIV) John 15: 15-16
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last
5/2/19 Who You Are! (2)
Inhabited
In the past, I visited those who would do specific things. Men such as Bezalel, whom I filled with the Holy Spirit, to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones all for the work of the Tabernacle. I came upon men and women for a season or a specific task. Saul, David, Deborah, Esther, the prophets, and so many more. My presence dwelt in the Tabernacle and only the high priest could enter and that only once a year.
But now, I live in everyone who accepts, trusts and relies on Jesus. We have now come and made our home with you. So in the very core of your being we live, allow us to expand. For My Holy Spirit is a genius and so you are a genius. When We say you are a new creation, We mean it. The old has gone and the new has come. You are now inhabited by Us, no longer will We just visit a while, whether you feel Us or not.
(NIV) Exodus 31: 2-6
‘See I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills – to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you.
(NIV) Numbers 11: 25
Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke with him, and he took some of the power of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied – but did not do so again.
(NIV) John 14: 22-23
Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
(NIV) John 20: 21-23
Again Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ And with that he breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.’
(AMPC) John 16: 7
However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counsellor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
(NIV) Acts 1: 4-5
‘Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptised with water, but in a few days you will be baptised with the Holy Spirit.’
(NIV) Acts 2: 1-4
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
6/2/19 Who you are (3)
Sons
Beloved don’t you realise that you are no longer orphans but my Sons, YES, all of you. There is neither male nor female, no marriage in heaven. I have made you equal. You have the same inheritance as My Son, Jesus. Yes, indeed you are heirs, and co-heirs with Him. You are My Sons as you are led by My Spirit. You have received adoption as My Sons.
Why then do you go around not asking for that, which is yours? For I gave all authority into Jesus’ hands and He gave it back to you. He sent you into all the world. Greater works will you do. Understand who you are in Me and know the authority I have given you as My Sons. I have given you the keys of the Kingdom to bind and loose. Pick up your mantle and exercise My good authority in all the earth. As Sons dearly loved and valued. Rule and reign in all My Kingdom.
(NIV) John 14: 15-21
If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realise that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.’
(NIV) Romans 8: 14-15
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’
(NIV) Galatians 4: 4-7
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba, Father.’ So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
(NIV) Matthew 28: 18
Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
(NIV) Matthew 16: 19
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.’
(NIV) John 14: 13-14
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
7/2/19 Who you are (4)
Anointed & Appointed
Beloved, I have anointed and appointed you, to go into all the world, and to preach the good news of the Kingdom and to demonstrate the word with signs following. You have the same Holy Spirit residing in you as in My Son, I have called you to even greater works. The signs that follow you are driving out demons, laying hands on the sick and seeing them made well, speaking in new tongues, nothing hurting you, such as snakes and poisons, making disciples wherever you go.
Paul did not merely go out with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power so that others’ faith might rest on My power and not human wisdom.
Peter’s shadow merely fell over people as He walked in the Spirit and people were healed. These signs are for today, not yesterday, but today, tomorrow. Step out in faith believing that I will do it for you, as you are My Sons, anointed and appointed. My call is your call.
(NIV) Luke 4:18 -19
‘The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
(NIV) 2 Corinthians 1: 21-22
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
(NIV) Matthew 28: 18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’
(NIV) Mark 16: 15-20
He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on people who are ill, and they will get well.’
After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 2: 4-5
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
So if we are all the above and we’re anointed and appointed. What should stand out. Demonstration of the Spirit’s power.
8/2/19 Who you are (5)
Loved
The most important thing to remember is that I AM love. Not only did I first love you and send My Son to die for you, but it is really important to realise that in everything you do, you walk out from a place of love.
All the gifts hinge on love, but it is not your love, but My love flowing in and through you. 1 Corinthians 13, My great passage on love is the hinge that holds the two gift passages, 1 Corinthians 12 and 14, together. Nothing in My Kingdom works without love.
Loose yourself in My love, allow it to saturate every cell within your body and in that way, what you do for others, will come out of love.
Surrender to My heart of love, and watch what is accomplished in and through you, on a daily basis. Love as I have loved you, for..
I AM LOVE!
(Amp) 1 Corinthians 13: 1-3
If I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God’s love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).
Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God’s love in me), I gain nothing.
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 14: 1
Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.
(NIV) John 13: 34-35
‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’
(NIV) John 15: 12-13, 17
My command is this: love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
This is my command: love each other.
(NIV) Luke 10: 27
He answered, ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind”; and, “Love your neighbour as yourself.”’
(NIV) 1 John 4: 8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
11/2/19 Tripping over Pebbles
My family, there are times when the smallest problem becomes a mountain before us. It begins as we stumble, and loose balance over some small thing, that has been caught underfoot and takes you off guard. You reach out to stop yourself from falling, but you do not always win that battle and find yourself on the ground wondering how you got there.
Have a look around you today, and bring to me in prayer, all those little pebbles that are trying to unbalance your walk in me. Release them and let them go. Do not allow them to grow from a pebble into a mountain, for this will take your vision away from the horizon and Me. This mountain will fill your view.
Fresh vision is your portion this day, see with eyes that are not hindered by the small things, for I have greater things for you to see and do.
In My Name.
(NIV) 2 Peter 1: 10-11
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
(NIV) Mark 11: 22-24
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
(NIV) Acts 2; 17-18
“‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
12/2/19 Head” YES”, Tail NO
Beloved, I have made you to be the head and not the tail. I have given you commands to follow that will bring not only good but great outcomes. The fruitfulness that will flow from your lives will be abundant, and will bless you, spilling over into others’ lives. Know that being My disciple means holding onto My teaching.
The demands of the law are now satisfied, Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Prophets. Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial. Live by My Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. The entirety of My commands are summed up by “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbour as yourself”.
So let no-one belittle you whether because of age, sex or race and know that I am with you wherever you go.
(NIV) Deuteronomy 28: 13-14
The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
(NIV) John 8: 31-32
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’
(NIV) I Corinthians 10: 23-24, 31
‘I have the right to do anything,’ you say – but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’– but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
(NIV) Galatians 5: 13-18
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself. ’If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
13/2/19 Supernatural Strength
My beloved, I have filled you with Supernatural strength. Sense your spiritual muscles ripple with kingdom power, as you pull down the strong holds of the enemy that surround you. These lies have no place in your daily walk with me. It is time to break the pattern of deceit that has held you prisoner in your own thoughts.
The high towers are being shaken, by your spiritual prayers of warfare, and the very cement of lies, that have held these bricks together, are crumbling and fallen away. As they come tumbling down around you, know that you carry my authority of transformation, not only for your life, but for the lives of others, that are still entrapped by the lies of our enemy.
Help to lift the arms of the weak and the weary, hold them high, and feel the earth beneath your feet begin to move and shake.
(NIV) 2 Corinthians 10: 4-5
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
(NIV) James 5: 15-16
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
(NIV) Exodus 17: 9-15
Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”
So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”
Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner.
14/2/19 Growing Stronger
Beloved, you ask Me to help you grow stronger. Do you know what you are asking?
The things that make you grow stronger, are enduring the trials and temptations that come your way. They will show you what is really inside and your level of trust in Me. I am happy to help you grow strong, but are you willing to endure so that your faith produces perseverance, leading to maturity?
The vineyards that are planted in difficult terrain, do not produce as much fruit as those planted in easier terrain. But, what they produce, is so much more valuable, and carries such a depth. These vines have had to endure all the harshest cold, wet and dry weather, and their roots have been forced to go deep into the earth to find nutrition. They are not easily moved or shifted.
And so I say to you today, “Stand and after you’ve done everything stand!”.
(NIV) James 1: 2-12
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation – since they will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
(NIV) Ephesians 6: 13
Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
(NIV) John 15: 5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
(NIV) John 15: 16-17
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: love each other.
15/2/19 The Tree and its ROOTS
Do you sense the hot wind blowing through your leaves? It has been going on for some time now, daily and monthly. Your leaves, are beginning to dry and curl over, some have even closed and are ready to fall to the ground. As the hot wind blows, you can hear the rasping chatter of the voices that were once full of life and vitality, but now many lie on the ground being blown around at the foot of your tree.
The tree has no leaves upon it now. You sense, that everything has finished, that you have failed me in your calling. When you took your eyes off of me and fixed them upon your tree and all the wondrous things that were happening there, the breeze began to rise, until it became a wind.
Your tree stands empty of life at least that is how it looks. Under the earth, you have deep roots that hungrily push forward, seeking the refreshing water that can only be found in Me. As deep cries out to deep, the heart of your tree once again seeks the depth of my heart and my kingdom. In that place of worship you will once again begin to live my precious one.
Look to the new buds that are so delicate and green upon the ends of your branches. New life growing from your roots which are immersed in the depth of my living waters.
Feel the wind of Holy Spirit as he brings Supernatural Transformation to all who come and sit under the shade of your tree. The grass will grow and the wild flowers in all their colour will surround you, for your soil is good, and filled with love.
(NIV) Proverbs 11: 29-30
Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind,
and the fool will be servant to the wise.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and the one who is wise saves lives.
(NIV) Jeremiah 17: 7-8
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
(NIV) Ezekiel 31: 6-7
All the birds of the sky
nested in its boughs,
all the animals of the wild
gave birth under its branches;
all the great nations
lived in its shade.
It was majestic in beauty,
with its spreading boughs,
for its roots went down
to abundant waters.
(NIV) Luke 8: 14-15
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
18/2/19 Opportunities
You are being presented with many opportunities. Doors are opening before you and many times you are hesitating at the threshold. Today, I challenge you to take every opportunity and to grasp it boldly. Do not say “I can’t do that!” Answer with a “YES”, even though everything within you is trembling, and the butterflies are going in your stomach. For you can do all things through Me. When you are weak, then you are strong.
Remember how the disciples were spoken of. They were unschooled, ordinary men who showed great courage. Those around them took note that they had been with Jesus.
So come spend time with Me, be connected to the vine, remain in Me and I will remain in you. You have My promises, have I not promised that you would do greater things? My Spirit lives in you and He will lead you into all truth. So do not hesitate when the opportunities come, but seize them with both hands.
(NIV) Acts 4: 13
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realised that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
(NIV) John 14: 12-14
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
(NIV) Revelation 3: 8
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
19/2/19 Dam Busters
Beloved, it is time to bust open the dams that the enemy has been building. He has been building little by little and wooing you into complacency. You have been accepting less than the best. It is time to break open the dams and let My living water flow clearly and pure into your land first and foremost then out to those around you.
These dams have been made of small lies which you have accepted and owned. As you have accepted and owned these small lies they have been linking together and stopping up the pure flow of My Holy Spirit.
Beloved bring yourself back to My word and be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Do not be blown every which way by every doctrine, but test everything, hold to what is good. Do not be deceived by lies. Challenge every thought and measure it against My word, ask My Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you.
Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.
(NIV) John 7: 37-39
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, ‘Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. ’By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
(NIV) Romans 12: 1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
(NIV) 1 John 4: 1-6
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognise the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognise the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
(NIV) John 8: 31-32
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’
20/2/19 Makeover
This is a time of makeover. You are a new creation. You are in Christ. The old has gone and the new has come. Even as spring approaches, it is time to take stock of where you are now and where you are going.
Time to take out your spiritual duster and begin to clean house.
There are attitudes, thoughts, judgements and vows that you have absorbed into your inner spirit which are necessary to be swept clean at this time. Allow the Holy Spirit to show you what to address at this point, so that you can move on in your journey with a lightness of spirit.
Do not go navel gazing, just deal with those things that I bring to your attention, repent where I show you, but do not allow the enemy to condemn you. I do not condemn, but bring correction. I desire to lift you up, and encourage you to let go of the past and press on towards the goal for which I have called you.
Start the makeover today!
(NIV) 2 Corinthians 5: 17-21
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
(NIV) Malachi 3: 2-4
But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.
(NIV) 2 Timothy 2: 20-21
In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.
21/2/19 Boat Burning
It is high time, my beloved that you step out of your boat.
I am sending fresh supernatural fire to burn up the dross that has become your safety net. It surrounds you like the deck of a boat and keeps you from dipping your toe into the depths of Spiritual freedom.
As Holy Spirit fire burns away the dross, you will have to keep your eyes fixed upon me, as you will be standing upon the vast open ocean as your boat disintegrates, and all safety measures that you have clung to disappear.
You will now cling to me as you take your first tentative steps, into your calling, as a Supernatural Warrior. Head up, chin out, do not look behind you or, even down at your feet, for below you is the deep. It calls to your inner self, my beloved, as you walk on water with me.
Look to the horizon, for you will be one who pushes the boundaries, because your heart, my beloved, has been birthed through fire and water.
Walk with Me.
(NIV) Hebrews 12: 29
For our “God is a consuming fire.”
(NIV) Matthew 14: 25-31
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
(NIV) Isaiah 50: 7
Because the Sovereign Lord helps me,
I will not be disgraced.
Therefore have I set my face like flint,
and I know I will not be put to shame.
(NIV) Isaiah 43: 1-3
But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your stead.
22/2/19 Scrubbing Brush
I AM scrubbing out my church, from top to bottom. Where the dirt has been allowed to go unchecked, and it has now become a stumbling block to my family, I will scrub it clean.
A scrubbing brush has hard bristles to get into every nook and cranny.
All loose dirt and even caked in dirt, will eventually be scrubbed clean, until it is shining, and once again becomes a beacon of light, that will attract those wandering aimlessly in the darkness.
This will be an uncomfortable season for some, and for others the fresh smell of disinfectant will fill them with fresh hope of a better tomorrow.
Stand up My Church, and allow this world to see your sparkle, for you are as one calling in the desert, “prepare ye the way of the Lord”.
(NIV) Matthew 23: 25-26
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.
(NIV) Ephesians 5: 25-27
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
(NIV) Luke 3: 3-5
He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.
Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth.
25/2/19 Capture My heart
What does it take to capture My heart? I called David a man after My own heart, because he loved Me, trusted in Me, relied on, and obeyed Me. Yes, he got it wrong, but when challenged, he was quick to repent.
I am far more concerned with why you do what you do, than the actual deed. Your heart motives are the most important. Beloved, you have blind spots that others can see very clearly, but I see below the surface, to your heart.
I know your love, your deeds, your perseverance and your service. I have watched as you have clung fiercely to Me in the midst of the trials and temptations. I have watched as you have yearned for Me, longing for Me to be even closer to you. I have watched you in your humility and in your total surrender to My Spirit.
You capture My heart!
(NIV) Revelation 2: 19, 23
I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.
Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
(NIV) Acts 13: 22
After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.”
(NIV) 1 Samuel 13: 14b
The Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.
(NIV) Song of Solomon 4: 9-10
You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride;
you have stolen my heart
with one glance of your eyes,
with one jewel of your necklace.
How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride!
How much more pleasing is your love than wine,
and the fragrance of your perfume
more than any spice!
26/2/19 A Bunch of Flowers
When a flower is cut from its root, it still retains its beauty for several days after you put it in a vase filled with water or treated water. When you have a bunch of flowers you can fill a room with colour and fragrance but the flowers will be slowly withering and dying, they will rot before your eyes because they are not being fed from the root. Eventually they will slowly blacken and a repugnant aroma will fill the place. Now they are only fit for the flames.
There are some among you, who are like the flower that has been cut and wounded by the hands of another. You have been removed from your flower bed, where you belonged connected to the root that gave you life and sustenance. All around you, every flower is connected. As the sun climbs into the sky each day, you sense the light and warmth, and begin to slowly open your petals to reveal the fullness of your beauty. A blanket of colour and an aroma of perfume fills the air, as you stand proud beside your family.
Today is the day, my friend, when you turn from the place where you have been cut off from the family of the living God, and return home to the beauty of your flower bed. Here you fit, and as your fragrance arises, you complement the aroma of the Kingdom of God. Once again to be surrounded and loved, planted in the heart of the family.
Come and be “Rooted in ME”
(NIV) 1 Peter 1: 23-25
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For,
“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.”
And this is the word that was preached to you.
(NIV) Hebrews 2: 10-12
In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. He says,
“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;
in the assembly I will sing your praises.”
(NIV) 2 Corinthians 2: 14-16
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?
(NIV) Colossians 2: 6-8
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
27/2/19 Clam pot
I saw a large pot of closed clams, the chef cooking them put a small amount of fluid at the bottom of the pot. I watched as they were steamed. The little bit of fluid dripped down and over the clams as they cooked, infusing them with all the flavours in the pot. The lid was taken off and the clams had now opened, but there were a couple still closed. The chef reached in with a spoon and removed the closed ones and set them aside and served the rest to the waiting customers.
Beloved, will you open to My fragrance today. Will you open yourself up not only to me but to others? You are uniquely made. Each of you requires the flavours, not only of Me but of others. My desire is that you grow into unity together, sharing all the gifts and talents that I have given you as individuals and as a community. You do not need titles, just be you.
Do not be like those who close themselves off and shut others out. Keep your lives open to Me and to others.
We are a living community.
(NIV) 2 Corinthians 2: 14-15
But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.
(NIV) Ephesians 4: 16
From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
(NIV) 1 Corinthians 12: 12-14
Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptised by one Spirit so as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. And so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
28/2/19 Alternating?
Beloved, why do you waiver between opinions? Alternating between many, unsettled and unsure of which one to take.
You have set your heart on numerous things, running after them all, thinking that you will find fulfilment in all the doing. Grasping each new concept that comes along, thinking that this time you will have your answer.
STOP what you are doing! Put everything down. Come and seek My face. Only in Me will you find the fulfilment that you desire and long for. Seeking My face is not a waste of time. Men do not have the answers that you seek, they can be found in Me.
I love you, even in that state of flux. I only have the best in mind for you and a longing to be closer. So make that decision today and come. I have the answers you seek.
(NIV) Isaiah 55: 1-7
‘Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labour on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.
See, I have made him a witness to the peoples,
a ruler and commander of the peoples.
Surely you will summon nations you know not,
and nations you do not know will come running to you,
because of the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendour.’
Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
(NIV) 2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
(NIV) Jeremiah 31:3
‘I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
