I AM the word

Beloved, it is time to read and to devour My word. Search the scriptures, know what they say, but also know The Living Word, Jesus. Allow the Holy Spirit to breath fresh life into the words that are written. Do not merely fill up the blanks in your mind, with your own words. As you read and allow them to wash over you, you will be changed.

My word is My love letter to your heart, but I am more than merely the written words. I am living and I am alive. I am the first and I am the last.

Do not merely treat My word, as if it were written from the loving hand of your beloved that has gone off to war, and then upon his return ,you ignore him in favour of the letters he has written. No you embrace the one who wrote them with all you have, because he is more than the sum of the letters!

My word is part of the way I guide you, I will never contradict my word. But I am far more!

(NIV) John 5:36-40

“I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to finish—the very works that I am doing—testify that the Father has sent me. And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form, nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent. You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

(NIV) Hebrews 4:12-13

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

(NIV) Proverbs 30:5

Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
