Living Stones
My beloved daughters and sons, there has been much turmoil in your lives, many of you have experienced a breaking down of tried and tested areas of your life, including close friendships. You have watched as family, close and far, have stepped away from you. Friends don’t seem to understand you, your words fall on deaf ears, causing much pain and distress, in your life and your walk.
A time of rebuilding and re-pointing is upon you, not all things around you; even what sounds and looks good, is beneficial to your walk in me. Each stone built around you has come crashing down.
You will take each stone that now lies upon the ground, you will look at it, you will dust it off and you will place it beside the corner stone. As you continue to review each stone in your life, you will watch a new house being restored to you, built upon me, each part a living stone built together, that compliments the other, all fitted exactly together.
(NIV) Ephesians 4: 15-16
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
(NIV) 1 Peter 2: 4-6
As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”
